Kathleen McKee is a qualified pattern cutter and dressmaker based in central London.

She makes costumes for the theatre, films and commercials. Clients include the BBC, the Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Madame Tussaud’s, and West End shows The Producers, Mamma Mia, Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music. Her costumes can be seen in television adverts for Walkers, Lynx and Dove, and in the movie Stardust.

Kathleen also takes on private commissions: wedding dresses, bridesmaids, evening gowns, tailored suits and costumes for artists or re-enactment.

Using historical sources as reference when making period costumes and corsets, Kathleen drafts her own patterns, creating made to measure garments for various occasions and budgets.

Designs can be developed from a client’s sketches or using images from magazines and books, each garment is unique and the price will vary according to style, fabric and special requirements.
